by avoiding the cliche I took a photo of the bridge connecting to the mainland which also showed how busy San Francisco is. The first photo shows that the bridge also connects to central San Francisco. The second photo is your cliche shot of the San Francisco Bridge. If I were to take these photos again I would look at the bridge from a bird's eye view from a nearby mountain and have a more detailed photo. This would enhance the meaning of the photo greatly, because it would show more colours and texture in the photograph.
This is a self portrait picture in black and white. It is inspired by the artist Annie Leibovitz. I wanted the rocks in the background because their texture and shadows enhance all the tiny details. It also makes for a better focus point. The angle of the subject creates a story for the viewer and makes them use their imagination. If I were to retake this photo I would have a busier background but have the focus point still on the subject in order to blur out the public and freeze a moment in time.
